Lots of people were voted Tuesday, but it had extra special meaning to a longtime public official in Lauderdale County.
Marl Cobler, coroner for six terms, voted with that title for the last time Tuesday.
"I just want to thank everybody for voting for me the last 24 years. I appreciate everything," said Cobler, who did not seek reelection.
Cobler's son, Clayton, won the coroner's race in the august primary and faced no opposition on the Vov. 4 ballot.
