A suspect in the murder of L.S. Vowell in Winston County has pleaded guilty.
According to Winston County Sheriff Randy Thomas, J.C. Higginbotham entered that guilty plea to capital murder Friday.
The 71-year-old Vowell was found shot to death inside one of his chicken houses in December 2007.
Higginbotham will be sentenced at a later date. Two other people were also charged, Vickie Higginbotham and Sandra Vowell. Their cases are still pending.
