Dozens of visitors have been in Meridian taking part in a surprise adventure in the Queen City.
About 26 people from Little Rock, Arkansas have been in Meridian experiencing all the community has to offer tourists. The tour group wasn't told where they were going when they jumped on the bus. Once they made it to Meridian they weren't told the destinations until they pulled up to them. They toured Dunn's Falls, The MSU Riley Center, The Jimmie Rodgers Museum and the historic carousel at Highland Park.
"It is very exciting to have them here because it does make an economic impact on our community. Not only have they have stayed two nights in one of our hotels, paid for their attractions, but we have also stopped at some of our local stores. I have helped put packages into our motorcade today," said Suzy Johnson who is the director of tourism for Meridian and Lauderdale County.
