A man died late Wednesday afternoon in a wreck that happened in the 4300 block of Valley Road in Lauderdale County.
His vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crashed.
The victim was identified as Terence Atkinson, 27, of Quitman.
A passenger was transported to Rush Hospital in Meridian with what were believed to be serious injuries.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation.

Trey is my nephew and a very good person. He has been through a lot in the past couple of years and everyone's prayers will be greatly appreciated. I did not know Terrance but I am sure is was a good person and I will pray for God to ease his familys pain.
