Stay Denied to Hansen

Condemned Mississippi prison inmate Tracy Hansen was denied a stay of execution Wednesday by the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Unless a higher court intervenes, Hansen will be executed July 17 for the 1987 murder of a state
Trooper Bruce Ladner.

Hansen will be the first person executed in Mississippi since 1989.
