Mississippi Budget Latest
Mississippi lawmakers started a special session today (Sunday) and playing a frantic game of beat the clock.

These lawmakers are getting paid regardless of what they do in a special session. They are probably being paid extra because they are in special session. Let them give up their salaries when the govt agencies are supposed to shut down. We all know that will not happen. If they medicare/medicade would stop paying for 3, 4, 5 and 6 babies, would stop paying for breast reductions and crap like that, then it would not be in trouble. It should be for the elderly and sick, not the lazy who live off the system. As a taxpaying citizen, I am SICK and tired of paying for more than my fair share of children, lazy people and noncontributing people who are living off us. Make them get out and work if they want free handouts.
