There will be no final farewells Tuesday for University of Mississippi chancellor Robert Khayat.
Khayat said most of his goodbyes at a reception on April 30 and continued them at alumni meetings throughout the spring. Tuesday will be his last day in the office.
On Wednesday, a new chancellor, Dr. Dan Jones, will take his place.
Khayat and his wife, Margaret, moved off campus earlier this spring into a new home a short walk from Oxford's downtown Square. They plan to take an extended vacation before Khayat takes on some consulting work.
Khayat has led his alma mater since 1995.
