Heating Costs Could Rise or Fall

How much you pay for heating your home this winter will depend on two things:

1. The kind of energy you use
2. The temperature readings

The energy information administration said today that, if temperatures are normal, you can expect to pay five-percent more for natural gas than you did last year.

However, heating oil prices could fall by eight-percent.

On the other hand, if it gets really, really cold, price increases for both fuels could jump into the double digits.
