On the last before the Thanksgiving break, West Lauderdale Middle and High Schools celebrated their Level 5 rankings. Level 5 is the highest "grade" a school can receive.
"We're all very excited about that and it's an extreme honor to be a level five school," said teacher Faye Kinard, "one of the few in the state of Mississippi and the only high school in Lauderdale County that is a level five school."
The accomplishment is attributed to the hard work of teachers, parents and students.
Achieving Level 5 is the goal of every school in the state. "West Lauderdale rules!" yelled a group if enthusiastic students.
