According to Mississippi health officials, county health departments across the state are running out of the flu vaccine.
Health departments across the state started with nearly 125,000 doses, but as of Friday most departments had none or less than a hundred shots left.
Officials are encouraging the public to call ahead to the health department to make sure they have ample supplies. They also say you might be better off to make an appointment through your private physician.
Flu vaccines across the nation are running unusually low because of a huge demand that resulted from reports this flu season would be worse than previous years.
