An arrest has been made in a weekend shooting in Leake County.

25-year-old Tarance Johnson was taken into custody Tuesday morning and charged with aggravated assault in a shooting that occurred Saturday.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at a house in the Lena community, following an argument.

Emergency responders say the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

Johnson is expected to go before a judge for a bond hearing later this week.
