Mississippi has a new Junior Miss for 2003. Clinton's Beth Finch was awarded the title during the final round of competition at the annual program in Meridian.
Finch beat out 36 other girls from across the state to take home the title. For her win, Finch gets over $5,000 in scholarships and a chance to represent the state at the America's Junior Miss program next year in Mobile.
Finch says winning the title was a dream come true.
"I didn't even realize they called my name at first," Finch said. "It wasn't expected at all."
Kristian Dambrino of Grenada was named first alternate, Meridian's Rachel Deen was named second alternate, and Winston County's Caroline McNeel was named third alternate.
