Theda Hartzog who was on trial for allegedly murdering her husband, Reverend Mark Hartzog, was found not guilty Friday night.
The trial, which began early last week, was being held at the courthouse in Butler, Alabama.
Mark Hartzog was found shot and killed in his church office in Pleasant Hill in August of 2002.
The jury went into deliberation at 1:30 on Friday afternoon and returned with a verdict at 8:30 Friday night.
Neither District Attorney nor Theda Hartzog could be reached for comment.
