"Students Together Exploring Possibilities" is a year-long program intended to give students in high school a chance to interact with community, state and federal leaders.
"What we were looking for was how could we compliment the educational system, with a program that was more than a leadership program. It taught them leadership skills. Exposed them to the many opportunities as well as opportunities for additional scholarships," said Mike McGrevey, executive director of the Kemper County Economic Development Authority.
EMCC received an $80,000 in scholarship money from the M-Step program.
