A change of venue hearing for a Neshoba County man charged with murder was rescheduled Friday.
The hearing for William Dewayne Savell was to be held in Carthage but was cancelled because of the absence of court personnel.
The hearing has been reset for the regular term of court in early February in Scott County.
Savell is charged with the stabbing murder of Mandy Davis, 23, in Neshoba County in September 2003.
Savell's attorneys contend that a change of venue is necessary for him to receive a fair trial.
