NAS Meridian Gets 150th Jet

NAS Meridian marked a milestone Thursday, with the arrival of the 150th T-45 training jet. Commodore of Training Wing One, Captain Mark Needler, flew it onto the base.

Needler flew the jet from St. Louis to Meridian after a ceremony at the Boeing factory there. He says the T-45's are vital to the base's future.

About half of the navy's fleet of T-45's is located in Meridian. The other half is in Kingsville, Texas.
