Lawmakers: "Can't Afford Employee Insurance Claims"

Gov. Haley Barbour and the state legislature has proposed making state employees pay for their health insurance.

A new health insurance board could soon be determining the fate of state employees’ benefits.

Lawmakers have warned that if the current insurance plan is not changed the state will run out of money to pay claims as early as November.
