Economic development officials say image may be a key to landing business and industrial prospects.
"We've pulled together a cross-section of this community, a diverse representation of this community, to help define our story. What is the Meridian story? There are a lot of good comments that we can make about our community," said Jones. "And we all need to share in those things that'll be the task of this committee to help promote good customer service on the front lines to help our customer service people better perform their jobs."
Billy Estes of Trustmark Bank is the image committee chairman.
Jones told the Board of Directors Thursday that the EMBDC has seen an increase in its business and industrial prospect activity in recent weeks.
