One person was sent to the hospital and a utility pole split in a morning accident. It happened shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning near the intersection of 24th Avenue and 19th Street.
At last check it was still unclear exactly what caused the one-vehicle accident. We're told that the driver's injuries did not appear life threatening.
As for the split pole, it supported only telephone and cable lines. It was replaced later in the day.
Throughout the ordeal, Bellsouth officials say customers’ service was not disrupted.
