"I love my brother. He's my baby brother. He's my baby brother and I really love him and it hurts so bad." Those were the words of Jaiwana Hudson. She was expressing her love for the brother she will never see again.

The murder of Stanley Mason is what's causing Jaiwana Hudson so much pain. Hudson is Mason's older sister. She is asking anyone who might have any information to help in the investigation.

"He wasn't just another man who was killed. He was my brother and he has two beautiful daughters and now they don't have anybody but their mom. Please, please call," exclaimed Hudson.

Mason's death marked the second murder in Meridian in less than 24 hours. Two murders in such a short period of time have left many people worried. Lisa Smith lives right down the road from where the first homicide on 25th Avenue took place. Her worries are intensified.

"Very scared and nervous. I mean because I have kids, I have two teenagers. One is in college and one lives here now. It makes me nervous and scared because you don't know what's next," said Smith.

On a nice afternoon, a walk used to appeal to Smith. Now, with a crime scene just four houses away, Smith's feelings have changed on where and when she walks.

"I just don't know what to say." muttered Smith. "I mean it's just a very nervous and scared thing to know that it happened two or three houses down from my house."

Although Smith is farther away from the homicide that happened in the Highway Village Housing Complex, she said both murders are just as troubling. Both incidents make her continually wonder.

"What's next? What's next? Who could it be next? So what goes through my head? What's next or who's next?" said Smith.

For Hudson, that is her reality. She said she won't get over the senseless murder of her brother.
