To the friends and family of this man, I am very sorry that I hurt his feelings. I have no excuses for my hurtful words. I will think very hard before I comment again like this on a story. Everyone else should tell this man " I am sorry " too. God Bless. Thank you, Becky for what you said in your comment.

Ed, I didn't say this man was a child, a teenager or a foolish young adult. He is an elderly man. I was only concerned about this man's well being. I pray that this man gets the help he needs, so nothing like this will ever happen again or much worse. My prayers are with the family and friends of the man. God bless them.

becky this isnt a child of younger years or a driver that was young and foolish.. if a medical issues here more then likely would have gone through the gates not around them..

I know sometimes people don't think before they comment! Thankfully no one was hurt. I think Valerie was trying to say that the driver of the truck didn't think before he acted. He made a mistake that could have cost him his life. The Good Lord was watching over this man. Family and friends of this man need look after this man, because he might have a medical condition. This might be a Warning Sign that he needs help. He probably lost his driver's license and insurance and maybe his truck. I pray for the family and friends of this man. Take care of yourself. God Bless You!

once you have seen one or worked in them then please think of how you have thought about your response about stupidity of others.. but we are adults.. and go after one that acts like a child and called it as it is... yes I am hard because what i have seen..

Ed, No I have not been to a train wreck as u have nor have I been to a multiple car accident. All I am saying is we are all adults here (or suppose to be) I just want you for one second to stop and think if this was your relative how would you feel about someone being insenisitive to him and his family!? No I am not kin to this man nor have I ever met him but it really upsets me for people to talk down about elderly people. Face it we all will be his age one day! And we all need to take into consideration that NOONE WAS HURT! YEAH COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE.......BUT IT WAS NOT! Take this accident for what it was and not what it "could" have been!

Anonymous i will agree with you am thankful no injuries.. but!! but!!! he was more then what any names could be use to called him.. I would guess, you never been at a train wreck or multi-pile wreck.. caused by a moron like this.. and deal with seeing children killed or the children crying seeing this parents killed.. this is not a child behind the wheel this is a grown man and passed the driving test.. pull the linc. for good..

Name calling is very inappropriate in this situation. You are missing the big picture here! this man is ok and so is may others that COULD have been injured or killed. For whatever reason we all have made mistakes and have had to suffer the consequences just as this man has. Who are any of you to judge this guy by calling him "stupid" or an "idiot" or a "moron". You all should be ashamed of yourselves and Thank God this accident wasn't worse! And for the future please take others into consideration and think before you place judgement or call people names! Come on people think of this guy's family. What are they going through right now and how would you feel if this was a part of your family and having to read something like this? GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

I am glad the person didn't get hurt,BUT "Stupid is as Stupid does". NO EXCUSES for being Stupid. You do not cross train tracks while crossing guards are down. Unless you have a death wish. Learn this time from your mistake, next time you just might be dead. I pray that there will never be a next time. God bless.

What a moron. He should not be allowed to drive a vehicle for 1 year. If this moron had of been injured, he or his family would have sued Amtrack for hitting him
