To respond to 'Law Enforcement Supporter'. Yea we may become 'friends' w the calhoun if a break-in occurs BUT.....some of us have friends already waiting in the house and their names just happen to be SMITH.......and WESSON!!!..."Doin hundud on the highway"

I completely agree with "Supporter". Some people must think all "ward" needs to do is get in his car, drive straight over there to the house with "BURGLAR" clearly marked in large flourescent letters on the mailbox, and make the arrest. Right, it's that easy, isn't it?

The previous posters seem to have all the answers. I think we should swear them onto the force and let them *try* to solve a case. It's not done in 30 minutes like on your tv shows. The sheriff's office and the Meridian Police have more to do than you'll ever dream. Sit in on Grand Jury just once and you'll be absolutely astounded at the sheer number of cases they have to deal with; and it grows every day. If these burglars start breaking into your house, by the way, I'll bet you'll be wanting to make friends with "ward" really quickly. I don't want to depend on law enforcement to keep my community safe. If I see something, you bet I'm calling them with information. I want my neighborhood to be safe for my kids. I'd like them to be able to go to the store without having to worry that they could be an innocent victim because some no-good wants a smoke and a beer. Keep up the good work, guys, you don't get nearly enough encouragement from citizens. And thank you!

I smoke, I drank-Im suppose to stop but I cant.........I agree. LCSD and MPD, do your freakin jobs. You think you suppose to just wear a uniform, sit in chairs and eat doughnuts all day?!?!.....Sometimes I wonder if we have real cops are pretenders and wannabes
