Ed, Where in the world did you get the idea it was a head-on collision? It happened at a crossroad on Hwy 35 at the Attala/Leake county lune . Per the Highway patrol, the car pulled out in front of the bus and the accident was un-avoidable. Perhaps if time had permitted, the bus driver could have swerved and missed the car,but we will never know and will never know how many students might have been killed if the bus had flipped. I praise the driver for maintaining as much control of the bus as she did with the response time she had.
doesn't matter what the car had in it .. there is no toxicology report nor was any statement made that was possible DUI involved.... now as to the wreck the words was changed on here as it stated before the car pulled in font of the bus ( vague refulgence) that would let one thinking they cross road as in cross road... now it says olds crossed over line head on with the bus.. big difference.. that being the case of fact I will concur nothing the driver could do.to prevent it.
Ed, FYI, the car had 3 cases of beer in it per persons at the scene of the accident...think about that....
