Nave Marks 112th Birthday

A Kemper County woman celebrated a birthday on Thursday that most of us will never see.

Friends and family threw a party for Minnie Nave at stay-home hospice in Meridian.

Nave has reached the amazing age of 112, and said she owes her long life to God and his faithfulness.

Others say she has been a blessing to them.

"She's such a great lady and she doesn't look her age," said Nave's nurse, Pam Browning. "And she still has so much life and so much spunk. I just feel it's an honor. I've never had this privilege before."

Nave cut the first piece of cake Thursday afternoon. She lives with her granddaughter's family in Scooba.
