A four-inch water line break at Northeast Lauderdale Middle School sent students and staff home early Wednesday.
The break shut off the water supply to the school, making the facility unusable.
"School normally gets out at 1:30 p.m., but we felt we needed to get the kids home a little early because we couldn't use the restrooms," said principal Richard Kelly.
The water line was repaired within hours. School will be back in session as usual Thursday.
