In Lauderdale County Justice Court Wednesday, John Poisso and Roger Haguewood pleaded guilty to operating illegal gaming devices.

The pleas resulted from the June 4 raids of 20 establishments suspected of operating illegal gaming devices in the county. All together, over 110 machines were seized.

"These are the first two where the court system has accepted a plea or found guilty," said Sheriff Billy Sollie.

The first offense misdemeanor carries a fine of $253.

The machines were ordered to be destroyed, and all money found in the machines was turned over to the county.

More than $1,000 was confiscated in these cases.
