Sgt. Eddie Butler of Meridian is a mechanic for the Chinook helicopters that are a vital part of the war effort. Butler is stationed in Iraq.
"I feel very good about what I've done because after all, I am a patriot of this country. And the military called me to do a job and that's what I'm going to do. And I feel very good about it," said Sgt. Butler. "This is the first time I've ever been in a combat situation. And I'm telling you, it's very good to be on U.S. soil again and with my family."
Butler will return to Iraq in mid-July. He asked that people pray for the troops as they "finish the job."
