Alabama is helping out rescue, recovery and rebuilding efforts in Florida's hurricane devastated areas.
Alabama Gov. Bob Riley authorized the state to provide emergency aid to help Florida recover from the destruction of Hurricane Charley.
Riley has authorized three Blackhawk helicopters from the Alabama National Guard, a 10-person emergency response team consisting of members of the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, along with coordinators from AEMA.
