Hundreds of students turned out Wednesday for Rush Hospital's "Career Care 2002." It was the first time in recent years that the event was held, providing doctors and nurses the chance to speak with high school and college students interested in healthcare as a career.
"Healthcare employment in this area is probably the largest employer in total when you consider all the hospitals and clinics around the area," said Donnie Smith, Director of Human resources for Rush foundation Hospital. "They're always going to be needing good people coming out of school. That's what we're here for today."
Rush Hospital invited over 800 students in Meridian and the surrounding area.
