Story Helps Recover Property

Thanks to a story NewsCenter 11 reported two nights ago, some stolen cemetery property has been recovered.

Gates from the Shubuta Cemetery were stolen recently.

A public works employee for the city of Meridian, who saw the story Sept. 2, noticed the gates along a roadside in the Bonita community in Meridian and turned them over to the Clarke County sheriff's office.

The antique gates were returned Thursday to Florence Busby in Shubuta. No arrests have been made.
