Residents of Aldersgate got a nice treat on Valentine's Day.

About 30 members of Meridian's 186th Air National Guard unit visited to dance the afternoon away.

It's a yearly tradition for the 186th, to share Valentine's Day in a special way, wearing their dress uniforms.

Organizers say it's a treat for Aldersgate residents and the military representatives.

"They're from the greatest generation," said Senior Airman Wade Pace. "One day, we're going to be in the same spot they are, and we just want to come out here and let them have fun."

The 186th has been taking part in this event for the last four years.

Residents also received Valentine's cards and treats, as they enjoyed good music.

What a great tradition. The men and women of the 186th are an asset to the community.
