On Saturday morning, Anderson Fitness and Health Center held its annual 5K run.
Newscenter 11 was there as hundreds turned out to take part in the race. The Anderson Cup Road Race kicked off at 8 a.m next to Anderson Regional Medical Center. Organizers say the race has been growing over the last few years and they hope it keeps growing.
"Over 400 people competed in our run, walk, and our fitness staff and Anderson's has just done a tremendous job and the response from the community was overwhelming," CEO Ray Humphreys said. "And it's an exciting day, beautiful weather."
The race was followed by a one mile kids fun run. This was the 30th anniversary for the Anderson Cup.
