Meridian, Miss. Anderson Regional Cancer Center in Meridian hosted the Business After Hours event Thursday evening.
The event gave community leaders the opportunity to learn about the advanced technology located in the facility. Staff members gave tours to the visitors to show them the physicians offices, chemotherapy stations,the radiation equipment, and the other services offered in the facility. The center has been open since 2003 and continues to aid those who suffer from the disease.
"We feel that as we add new doctors and new technology, that patients will have a great option to deal with those problems that exist when we hear those unwelcome words 'you've got cancer'," said the CEO of Anderson Regional Medical Center Ray Humprheys.
Anderson's encouraged people to wear pink to demonstrate their commitment to fighting breast cancer.
