A man, who police in Demopolis, Alabama called a serial robbery suspect, is now in custody. Family members of Akeem Benison turned him in to authorities last night. He's facing seven counts of armed robbery. All thefts occurred at the same convenience store. The most recent happened Wednesday. Following that, police conducted a six hour search in a wooded area for Benison. He's now being held in the Marengo County jail in Linden. As of Friday morning, his bond was yet to be set.
