It's that time of year again! The start of the Neshoba County fair is just a few short days away now.
Organizers tell Newscenter 11 they expect as many as 100,000 people to attend the fair, but say season pass holders can throw that number off a little bit. This will be the 124th anniversary of the fair and fair officials say the anticipation has already started for the 125th anniversary, even before this year's fair.
"Horse racing is a pretty important part of the fair every year," Gilbert Donald says. "Not only will the fair be 125 years old, the track itself will be a hundred years old next year. In other words, the track was built a hundred years ago next year."
Season passes for the fair are $40, and day passes are$15 each. Children nine and under get in for free.
