Body Found in Meridian

Meridian Police say a body has been found in Meridian. The body of a male was found off Royal Road in a creek.

A man was found Friday afternoon along the banks of Gallagher Creek.

Meridian Police arrived on the scene along with other emergency personnel, they are investigating the death but so far there is no sign of foul play.

Autopsy results from Jackson are pending.

It has not been confirmed that next of kin have been notified, so a name has not been released as of yet.
