Chase Leads to Tense Moments

A chase in Lauderdale County provided some tense moments for Meridian Police and Lauderdale County Sheriff's deputies Thursday.

Anthony Duane Talley Junior has been charged with felony fleeing after a pursuit that began in the county and ended at 14th Avenue and 21st Street.

Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says that during the chase the suspect brandished a b-b gun that looked like a higher powered weapon.

The Meridian Police department assisted, a Calhoun says the sheriff's department appreciates MPD's teamwork.
