According to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, police officers responded to a report of gunfire Monday.
Officials said a 911 call was placed from the Bogue Chitto community in Neshoba County.
The tribe says there were unconfirmed reports of gunfire. However, authorities say they determined there was no gunfire and no firearms were located.
Choctaw Public Information said the department followed standard operating procedures in responding to and handling the incident.
