Students in Sumter County got an early start on thinking about their future careers.
Livingston Junior High School hosted a college and career fair Wednesday.
Students had a chance to explore opportunities for careers and higher education after high school.
School officials say now is the time for these students to start thinking about their futures.
"It's important for our students to have all kinds of opportunities at an early age to decide what they want to be later on in life," said principal, Cynthia Jemison. "And with this program, it gives them all types of opportunities to meet with people from other places."
In addition to colleges and universities, several local businesses and other entities took part in the career fair.
