A correctional officer at the prison in Lost Gap has been charged with possession of illegal drugs.
Elena Victoria Lindsey, 26, was employed at the East Mississippi Correctional Facility. The charges are possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine in a correctional facility. her bond was set at $20,000.
The case against Lindsey will be presented to the next available grand jury.
