A Clarke County deputy was seriously injured in a crash on Saturday.
The accident happened on County Road 513 near the Clarke County Airport. While responding to a call, a vehicle apparently swerved into the path of deputy Glenn Cook's vehicle. Cook swerved to miss the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
Cook was airlifted to UMC in Jackson. He is listed in critical condition.
