Meridian, Miss. The 4th Annual Historic Rose Hill Cemetery Tour will be Saturday, Sept. 29.
The cemetery is the resting place for several famous Meridianites.
One difference about this year's tour is that the visitors will be split into groups to avoid logjams that have happened in the past at certain sites.
Actors will be dressed up in period costumes and tell their character's story.
Organizers say it's a great learning experience.
"The history of Meridian, stories that they have probably never heard before," said Ward Calhoun, Jr., of the Rose Hill Benevolent Fund. "Stories that are not necessarily in the history books."
The tour will start at 6 p.m. and will finish when the last group has entered the gate.
Rose Hill Cemetery is located just off 8th Street on 40th Avenue.
