Distinguished Young Woman of Newton County

Four young ladies competed for the title of Distinguished Young Woman of Newton County Saturday night.

The girls were scored based on a 10-minute interview, as well as scholastic achievement, talent, self-expression, and physical fitness.

Haleigh West and Faith Westberry were recognized as finalists. West was named Distinguished Young Woman of Newton County and will compete in Meridian this summer for the state title.
