There are new developments in the investigation into a food-borne illness outbreak in West Alabama. Officials with the Alabama Department of Health say this resulted from cross contamination. Scores of people who attended a funeral last weekend in York had to be hospitalized after becoming ill. Health department officials say food that was served after the funeral was tainted by salmonella. Earlier this week a funeral home attendant who worked that service died. His family is now requesting an autopsy. Preliminary findings were that he died from a heart attack.
