Gas Prices On the Rise

If you are hitting the road this Christmas, you may notice that gas prices have taken a jump.

Newscenter 11 found a few stations that are still selling regular unleaded for under $3 per gallon. However, prices at some stations in the Meridian area have spiked as much as twenty cents in the last week. Prices as a whole are averaging just above $3 in both Mississippi and Alabama.

Gasbuddy.com says the average price in Mississippi is $3.07. In Alabama, the average price is $3.09.

The nationwide average is $3.24
