A scholarship has been established at East Central Community College in Decatur in memory of a longtime Scott County educator, Huey G. Stone.
Stone was a principal at Lake High School who retired in 1999 following 32 years of service. He was a resident of Lake from 1961 until his death in 2013.
The scholarship was established by family, friends and former students of Mr. Stone in honor of “his love for education".
