Jackson Radar Upgrade Canceled

The National Weather Service in Jackson decided Monday morning to postpone the planned dual polarization upgrade for the Brandon radar. The Weather Service released a statement citing the potential for heavy rain and severe weather for later this week as the reason for the cancellation. At this time, the upgrade has not yet been rescheduled.
