Jobs were up for grabs Tuesday as MCC's Workforce Development hosted its annual job fair as part of community outreach.
Over 35 businesses participated as vendors looking for qualified applicants in health care, hotel and restaurant fields, manufacturing and the military.
MCC officials said over 25 jobs were offered on the spot.
"The economy is tough right now," said Joseph Knight, assistant dean for business development. "We're starting to see just a little bit of a rebound in people offering jobs as we are here today. So it's exciting to see business and industry out and seeking applicants."
Workforce development programs are aimed at producing higher skilled workers for better paying jobs. Call MCC at 601-481-1319 to ask about available workforce programs.
