The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department says Daniel W. Keeton, 43, is charged with raping a young girl multiple times over the course of a decade.
Keeton was charged with forcible rape and sexual battery after an investigation. Officials say more charges could be coming.
Maj. Casey McElhenney told Newscenter 11 that it's believed the assaults have been ongoing for the past 10 years.
"During our investigation, it was revealed that these sexual assaults had been occurring since she was 4-years-old, and now she is currently 14 years of age," said McElhenney. "As a result, we charged him with sexual battery and forcible rape. As far as any other charges, we'll present those to a grand jury and let the grand jury decide if there are any more charges to come."
Keeton's bond was set at $50,000 per charge, for a total bond of $100,000.
