Meridian, Miss. The Hampton Inn's management and employees decided to give the Armes family a very special Christmas. James is a three old with mitochondrial muscular myopathy, a disease that affects his muscular development. With a tough economy and medical bills to pay, it would have been hard to give young James the Christmas he deserves.

"We have a series of gifts. We've got toys for him to play with, a lot of educational toys. He started going to school this year, we got him school uniforms, a lot of clothes, canned goods for the family, and a turkey for Christmas," said Courtney Kirkman, the general manager of the Hampton Inn.

Sheila Carpenter is friends with the family and heard about the situation and wanted to help anyway she could.

"The family is actually friends of mine on Facebook, and I just kind of over heard a conversation on Facebook that she was having with someone else. They did not ask for our help but we were eager to help," said Sheila Carpenter, the assistant general manager of the hotel.

So what does this mean to the Armes family?

"Right now I am excited. I am so thankful to this hotel, to the Hampton Inn, for all that they've done for little Jay. With his disorder we have to travel every single day, and this is a blessing, it is a restful time for us. Between me not working and my husband getting laid off we were so worried about we'd be able to do for him this year. Right now, I just wanna cry because they've done so much," said grandmother Paulette Armes.

Even Santa himself made a special trip from the North Pole to visit with little Jay.
